Kellands Meet The Team – Eddy Chow

This month we would like to introduce you to our resident Mortgage & Protection Adviser, Eddy Chow.

Five words to describe you

Positive, Extrovert, Logical, Efficient, Softie

What’s your background, how did you get where you are today?

I completed A levels in Maths, Chemistry and Biology and then went on to Leeds University where I studied Economics. My final year dissertation was written on the UK’s Monetary Policy, and now all I deal with is interest rates so a career in mortgages seems inevitable!

Best advice you’ve been given?

Don’t be afraid to lose your pride over someone you love, just don’t lose someone you love over your pride.

The best thing about working at Kellands?

My work-life balance has significantly improved since joining Kellands. Whilst we work hard, there is a recognition and understanding in the office that family life is important too which is refreshing.

Why should people choose Kellands?

Kellands offers an unbiased, high standard level of service and one that will truly act in your best interests. The Advisers here are highly qualified with extensive experience and our rates are very competitive too!

How do you wind down & what do you do in your spare time?

Currently there’s not much of this, being parent to a toddler. But when there is peace and quiet, you’ll probably find me watching old videos of him and trying to recreate my favourite dishes (mainly Thai, Korean & Chinese cuisine). I also spend an unhealthy amount of time on my fantasy football team and when Love Island is on, you will know exactly where I am at 9pm every single night!

Who would be your top five fantasy board members, dead or alive?

Will Ferrell, Mark Zuckerberg, Kevin Bridges, David Attenborough and Curtis Pritchard - a mixed bag but should make for an interesting meeting!
